It's been a long time.....

It's been a long time but I am back! FINALLY!!!! This post is going to be a lot of randomness. I will try to catch you up on our life the past few months so please hang in there.

I am finally done with school!! I plan to go for my Master's at some point but not anytime soon. I am taking a much needed break!

We have had a busy summer so far! Lexi has dance camp this week and Anna Kate's first birthday is Saturday so it's been a busy week as well! I can't believe my baby is almost one! Time is moving way too fast.

My dad had a biopsy a couple of weeks ago and he gets his results back tomorrow. Please pray that everything is ok. I know he has been stressed and bothered about it and he will be glad to finally have some results.

My bestie is getting married in October so I have been busy helping her with wedding planning. It's been so long since I got married I forgot how much stuff you had to do!

Jeff is going to teach me how to use his camera so I will soon be posting pics on a regular basis! Hailey, you have to promise not to laugh at my inability to take pictures!!

My goal is to try to blog more and do more interesting stuff on my blog so wish me luck!

In the Spirit of Christmas...

Here it goes...

1.) Have you started your Christmas shopping?
DONE-ALL EXCEPT FOR A FEW STOCKING STUFFERS FOR THE GIRLS!!

ON CHRISTMAS MORNING MY PARENTS COME TO HAVE BREAKFAST. ALSO, LEXI AND I HAVE STARTED THE TRADITION OF MAKING SOME KIND OF GINGERBREAD HOUSE OR COOKIES TOGETHER DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON.

3.) When do you put up your Tree?
THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING USUALLY. THIS YEAR WE ACTUALLY WENT AND PICKED OUT A TREE THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND I ACTAULLY LIKED THAT A LITTLE BETTER SO NEXT YEAR WE MAY DO THE SAME.

4.) Are you a Black Friday shopper?
NOT AT ALL. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH MEDICATION....I HAVE BEEN BEFORE AND IT WAS TERRIBLE.

WE STAY HOME. WE HAVE STARTED HAVING CHRISTMAS EVE WITH MY SIDE OF THE FAMILY AT OUR HOUSE. WE HAVE CHRISTMAS WITH JEFF'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY AT HIS MOM'S HOUSE ON CHRISTMAS DAY.

NOT USUALLY.

Anna Kate's Dr's Appoinment and an Update on Lexi

Anna Kate had her two month check up at three months today! It was about time! So the doctor says she looks great; however, she has a umbilical hernia and an infection in her blocked tear duct in the right eye. It has been blocked forever, since birth I believe. She got three shots and the new rota virus oral vaccine. They didn't have that when Lexi was coming along.

The doctor says the hernia should repair itself by one year of age, but if not she will have to have surgery to get it repaired. I pray it heals itself and does not get any bigger. Her right eye has been draining since birth because of a blocked duct. Now, the duct has become infected so we got some wonderful eye drops to put in there every 4 hours!! So far the drops have not been a big success, she hates me messing with her eye and I can't say I blame her.

She is:

11pds11.5oz (50th percentile)

22.5inches (50th percentile)

Lexi is doing much better today, she has a very low grade fever and has been a little ill but other than that she is good. I hope she fought off whatever it was she was trying to get.

Exciting weekend ahead!

Every year we go to the state fair, we will be going on Friday and I am so excited. I love the smells at the state fair. Lexi is very excited as well, she has talked about all the food she is going to eat! For those of you that know my child, she loves to eat and eats all day long and is still as skinny as a rail! I guess she got Jeff's good genes....here are just some of the things she wants to eat while we are at the fair, an icee, an elephant ear, corn on the cob and candy of coarse. She is also excited about seeing the animals, just as long as they are in cages, she says. If she decides she wants to eat all of this I will have one sick child on my hands. Of coarse she is really excited she gets to go with Nana and Pop, they are two of her most favorite people, aside from MeMe!

Saturday, Anna Kate and I are going to help "aunt Jenny" find a WEDDING DRESS! We have an appointment at a bridal shop at 10:00. For those of you that know Jenny this has been a long time coming. Jenny and Grant will be getting married October 23, 2010. We are all super excited for her and Grant! We have decided to make it into a girls day and do lunch and a little shopping as well. I am sure we will have a blast!

Anna Kate is 3 months old!

Anna Kate was three months old a few days ago so I figured I would let everyone know what she has been up to!

She loves her mommy! She also loves to eat. Nursing is going well, she has definetely hit a growth spurt in the past few days. She doesn't like her daddy so much, just yet. She still cries when she is left with him, I know that won't last long, pretty soon she will be "in love" with him just like Lexi is.

Anna Kate smiles and laughs all the time. She loves to talk, imagine that, she must have gotten that from her sister! Bathtime is a good time for Anna Kate, she loves it. The pacifer is her best friend. She loves to try and stick her whole hand in her mouth, she uses it as a paci as well. She perfers to sit up vs. laying down, she likes to be in the know. Lexi loves Anna Kate so much and Anna Kate lovs Lexi, she gets so excited when she sees her sister.

Sleeping is going well also, she sleeps all night, she only wakes one time to feed during the night around 4am. She is still in our room in the pack in play bassinet because I am just not ready to put her in her room yet. I'll be honest I don't want her to grow up, I guess knowing that this is my last child I want to keep her little forever. She can't go without her bunny blanket, she rubs it on her cheek to get to sleep.

She is already wearing six months clothes and can even wear a nine month outfit! We are going for a well baby visit tomorrow so we will finally find out how much she weighs. I will post an update after her appointment.

I can't believe it's been three months already. Where does the time go?

Not Me Monday!

I am taking this opportunity to admit my imperfections and my reactions to everyday craziness. I hope you enjoy!

I do not think Lexi loves Anna Kate at all, she never holds her!

I did not work this weekend for the first time in 18 weeks.
I was not lost.
I did not think to myself this place sure hasn't changed.
I did not have thoughts of calling in sick just to avoid the whole situation, not me I love working!

I did not eat at PV on Friday, just so I could avoid a melt down from my three year old while we were at playdate.

I was not excited about my mom and dad coming home from vacation.

I did not spend the whole day Saturday at my parents house.

I did not let Lexi eat candy for breakfast.

I did not let Anna Kate sleep in our bed all weekend, I would never do that.

I did not leave all the clean clothes piled on the table in the landry room without folding or ironing them, nope not me, I love doing landry!

I did not leave dishes in the sink this morning in hopes they will put themselves into the dishwasher by the time I get home this afternoon.

I did not have thoughts of running away to a tropical island alone for the weekend.

I did not threaten Lexi that if she put a hole in her new dance tights I would take all her toys away, not me, that would be harsh.

I am not going to take a nap when I get home this afternoon, I never need a nap.

Last but not least, I am not going to make it a point to go to the gym everyday this week because I can't fit into any of my clothes!
